The most acceptable phase was "Facebook is a tool in the Internet toolbox" A tool being, by example, a hammer. The key point being that there are lots of types of hammers from very specialist such as thatching, to the brut force of a sledge hammer. Therefore, depending on what you need to do you will pick the right hammer for the job. Facebook is a tool (platform) and it will do what you want it to do. Like a normal tool; screwdriver or hammer, if used for the right job in the right way all is good, however in the wrong hands it can be used for harm. We did not work out what it is - but at least we could all agree that we had different views of what you can do with it!
